Olympus Pen E-P1

Technology usually does not respond to the "it all comes back" paradigm. This is one of those exceptions. Meet the new Olympus Pen E-P1. A retro-looking camera (based on a design launched in 1959) with whopping 12.3 megapixel interchangeable lens system; the smallest one in its class. It also records HD video. The Pen E-P1 is an excellent option if you're looking for a combination of a point-and-shoot and DSLR camera. And also if you're willing to look very cool. Sweet find here.

Soup of the Day: The manipulator - Jill Greenberg

You may have seen one of these pictures around. Jill Greenberg is a Canadian photographer now residing in L.A. that specializes in portraits particularly for editorial and advertising. She has such a particular way of lighting faces and capture expressions that has become some sort of trademark. Notice no babies were harmed in the making of that photoshoot. Sweet find here.

This German photographer specializes in portrait; his work on color, lighting and texture of the skin is amazing. He's been around as a freelance since 95, but somehow his photos are always refreshing, most of which usually end up in advertising and editorial. He has updated his on-line portfolio.
